Spending my off day to the fullest!

I've a date with my mum on a random day! Pretty interesting mummy who actually came to me and say: "let's go Gardens By the Bay! I've yet to go!" So of cos, not to disappoint her, we went! HAHAHHAH!
=.=" Huge eyebags!

Then... the next time, she came to me: "Lets go JB for seafood!" And i was like what?! You serious?! And so we went... LOL! I actually went to google and see where can we have seafood lunch in JB and DA RANG! i FOUND THIS! Hiang Kee Seafood Restaurant (Malaysia, Johor Bahru) located at Jalan Keris, Taman Sri Tebrau (Hawker Centre) 80500 Johor Bahru, Malaysia. So i actually SS the address and map in my phone and upon reaching JB, i wanted to show that driver and guess what?! He wanted to hold on to my phone and see the photo clearly and the thing is, this action was done over the window of his cab. In my heart, i was like if i let go of my hands, i think the driver may have just drive away with it?! HOW?! he didnt seems to want to let go either! So... eventually, i let go. AND THANKS GOD. He didnt drive off with it! And offer a price at 10RM to the place, tried to bargain but fail. So yes. We took his cab. LOL!

ALL OF THESE COST US LESS THAN 50 SGD!
This is how the surrounding look like...

Taipei Day 3

Last day in Taipei, we decided to go to Taipei 101 there for Starbucks located level 35, at the same time for scenery. It was raining heavy but we have to take the RED LOVE photo - mission of the day! LOL
RED LOVE. LOL
Managed to get the visitor pass up to Taipei 101's Starbucks. Guide from Gallivantingreg.com
After then, went back to Minsu area for last minute shopping! XIMENDING! LOL! And yes, as planned to have our lunch @ the Modern Toilet. Dad and mum seems to have enjoyed themselves very much in the restaurant. My suggestion - if u want to eat here, make it the first stop before shopping @ximending, they are always full house and expected waiting time will be around 40mins and they will give you a call once tables are ready. But we are consider lucky i supposed. We managed to get the seats upon reaching. LOL
Back to Minsu and grabbed our luggage after shopping at Ximending. Had a hard time looking for Taipei West Bus Station Terminal. Finally after almost an 40mins looking for the terminal, we finally found it!! LOL!
Kuo Kuang Bus to Airport DONT DEPART FROM HERE.
It departs from here, the Taipei West Bus Station Terminal

Taipei Day 2

After a day in Taipei, i realised shops there don't really open very early. U will get to see all shops only starts to open at around 12mn? LOL.

Decided to have our breakfast at 阜杭豆浆店 (Nearest Mrt: Shandaoshi). Upon reaching there. OMG. The queue was SUPER LONG. All the way till almost the mrt station exit. LOL! So we gave up and have our breakfast at 永和豆浆油条 which is just a street away. Youtiao and soya milk taste was fine but definitely not the Xiao Long Bao. LOL! Not juicy at all. Quite fail actually. LOL

Trained to Taipei Main Station and bought the TRA ticket to & fro to RuiFang at $500NTD for 4 pax. Went there with seats allocated and back w/o seats. A very bad decision. Should have bough the tix to RuiFang and at RuiFang bought the return ticket upon reaching. Well. First time.

Cabbed to JiuFen Old street because bus is taking us too long! Waited for 10mins but yet to see any bus. 180NTD to JiuFen i think is absolutely reasonable. LOL

I like this photo eh. Very got feel. LOL
Headed to ShiDa NM after, ShiDa was rather a small scale NM but was quite crowded. I like the Big Intestine Mee Sua there! It tasted pretty awesome. I actually preferred this Mee Sua to Ah Zhong Mee Sua @ XIMENDING. LOL! i didnt have a photo of it, too busy eating. Fully recovered from food poisoning. The grill foods over @Shida was fantastic! The chicken was so juicy and tender. LOL!

Failed to eat hotplate steak the day before, so no matter what! I MUST EAT. Went into the shop @ Shida that actually have hotplate steak and of cos i ate it! LOL!  But Bro said ZIQIAN NM's one was nicer. =((
Self took Family photo on the train

Been and back from Taipei! Taipei Day 1

As i mentioned from my previous post, i should be in taiwan for 6D5N! TAICHUNG - HUALIEN - TAIPEI - TAOYUAN. But I was glad that dad and bro managed to go to taichung and hualien and have lots of fun there.

Alright, nevertheless, i enjoyed myself in taipei!! <3 I like taiwan! Really. Definitely i WILL WANT TO GO BACK AGAIN but of cos not during winter time. LOL.

Yupp yupp. i'll start from upon reaching taoyuan airport... Mum and i took the Freego bus from the bus station at the airport @140/pax to Ximen Mrt. Journey was around 50mins? And upon reaching Ximen, Dad and bro was already waiting for us at the meeting point! HAPPINESS~ LOL

Reached our minsu in like less than 5mins walk from mrt! I LOVE THE MINSU! IS PRETTY!! i love the design of the whole apartment. I WILL DEFINITELY CHOOSE TO STAY THERE AGAIN. AWESOMEEE! And hosts are really nice and helpful. =))

Have our first day in taipei spent at Dansui! Lunch at Ding Tai Fung - but really sad, just recovered from food poisoning with no appetite. I only ate a bit. Hais!
Headed to Dansui via mrt, I like dansui because there are ALOT OF TIE DAN! <3 and not forgetting Yu Su. Hhahahas! Due to winter time, sunset really fast. At 5pm, sky starts to turn dark. AND WE WANTED TO TAKE THE BOAT to Fisherman's wharf, however boat service was only till 5pm. LOL. We had no choice but to take bus 26 there. By the time we reached there, sky have turned totally dark. LOL

Have our night spent at Shilin NM w/o dad and mum as they think travelling the whole day was already very tiring and decided to give NM a missed. LOL. Due to my food poisoning, no appetite, i actuallysay NO to HOTPLATE STEAK! I DIDNT TRIED IT. CAN U BELIEVE?! Bro grabbed some foods at Shilin and i took a few bites. AND THAT'S IT! DAMN YOU FOOD POISONING!

Life of a Tai Tai @ Bkk

#Throwback... #Bkk

Life in BKK- everything seems to be really cheap as compared with Singapore. A dress that only cost $4-$5 SGD?! A thick jacket that only cost $8SGD? I simply love BKK. Then... this qn came to my mind. "Will you want to stay in Bkk forever?" The answer in my mind was a definite NO. It's place where tourist will like if it's for shopping. But if come to living there, i guess it wont be some place that people would like to stay for long. Healthcare? Transportation? Education? You know. I know.

I used to bargain a lot when buying things in BKK. But recently, i don't do it anymore if prices are reasonable enough. Having a discount of 10 - 20 bahts is like not even a dollar SGD, whereas it's a big money to them. I go for clothes which only cost less than 200 baht. Anything more than that, i'll give it a miss, unless i like it very much.

Sometime, what i don't like about BKK, they tend to charge tourist more than locals on the clothes. For example, i went to a shop, seeing the prices stated there 3 for 90 baht each. However, was told by the seller is 3 for 100baht each. SEE! Well... that's life.

Half of my loots are here! Very satisfied with my loots! =DD Avg 150baht each! <3

Ohya! I read a news recently. Thailand is going to charge tourist 500baht for the entry fees with effect starting on Jan 2014! =((

Thai massage @ bkk!

This is my very first time trying out full body massage despite multiple trips to bkk.

My friend and I decided to go for massage at the shop nearby our hotel. That was the worst decision that we had made for this trip. Hahaha!

Three massage shops was just next to each other. We step into one of the shop as the masseur and masseuse are giving us eye contacts when we walked pass.

Upon stepping in, the lady boss ( I suppose?) made us paid first before we get their service 😪.

Then the boss instructed my friend to go to the upper lvl and leaving me alone downstair w those masseur and masseuse. Feeling very awkward but I guess smiling to everyone is the best solution to relieve the tension. BUT I WAS WRONG! I believed that the boss actually saw me smiling to one of the masseur so I supposed she got a wrong signal and therefore she got him to massage me! WTS! But I was kind of stupid for not voicing up. So the whole one hr massage was not even relaxing for me. 😪😪 My ass was being massage too! 😂

As for my friend, she had a very bad experience too. She was wearing a dress and her masseuse did not even offer a towel or pants for her, and she was just  lying beside me w my masseur who is able to get a perfect view of what's underneath the dress. She was very much exposed. Srsly! 😪😪

That was the most terrible Thai massage that we had paid for. And the next day, we went to Khao San, massage there was awesome!

Ipoh Trip Day 1

Upon meeting up with JJ, we headed to Foh San Restaurant for our breakfast dim sum! Foh San vs Ming Court - both the famous dim sum shop in ipoh right oppsite each other. Nice food provided, it only cost us around 20SGD for a meal for four! I like!

Headed to some mountain cave temple after breakfast! So we went to Pi Li Tong and Taman Rekreasi! Guess this is something new to us. Cave temple and a place to look at awesome scenery! <3

Meet up with another friend whom drove all the way from JB up to Ipoh with his family! Meal together at some coffeeshop which is quite famous for their ipoh white coffee. I love their kids! So cute can! Photos of them will be up on blog soon~ LOL! After meal, we went to try their famous beancurd/ soay milk from a stall named funny mountain. Ordered while in car, eat in car and they will collect from you after you have finished. HAHAHA! A smooth and silky beancurd. I LIKE!

Ah San our friend, being the Funny Mountain's 代言人!LOL! GOOD!

We went to another cave temple named Ji Le Tong. It's so windy there with an awesome view of the sunny day while enjoying the wind and being sheltered in the cave. LOL!

After visiting the caves, IT'S TIME TO EAT AGAIN! 4TH meals of the day! LO! Tried their asam laska and fried durians! I LIKE THEIR FRIED DURIANS, IS REAL DURIANS, not like S'pore kind which only gave the flavouring. This is with texture, smell and the flavoring which cost only 2rm for one!

Oh, did i mention that we are staying at JJ house for this trip? LOL! Yes! We are going to stay over in his house. He said he lived in kampong which means this is my FIRST time staying in a kampong. LOL! Upon reaching his house, we choose our room and put down our things. Something i like about msian, they are really different from Singaporean. They simply treat it like their own house. One went shower, another one went to boil water so on and so forth. LOL! I really enjoyed staying with them, they treated you really like a family instead of an outsider. HAHAHA! A lot of new experiences in this trip, showering w/o the shower head, using water to pour on ourselves is the way of showering, having a kitchen which is much bigger than my own room in Singapore and last but not least, sleeping in the night w/o a need to lock the door, AS IN THE MAIN DOOR. WOW~!

Dinner at Lou Wong Restoran for their famous beansprout chicken rice. I think i preferred Singapore's chicken rice. HAHAHHA! The chicken was not really that tender as what others have described, beansprouts was a little too raw. Nothing much special actually. LOL! But still, anything with CHICKEN, i'll still love it! Being known as 鸡王 during this trip. LOL!

Dessert @ Tang Shui Jie (i gussed). With the courtesy of JJ's gf who brought us for dinner and dessert as JJ have something on. Though, we didn't have much conversation. But i can tell, she is a nice person. =D

I've another meal of my own for supper- KFC from ipoh. LOL! Trying to compare MELAKA OR IPOH KFC. LOL!

The day to Ipoh

The day to ipoh is also the day for William's farewell party. I was wondering if i should go for the dinner with my BIG HUGE backpack for my 3D2N trip to ipoh or should i just give it a miss. Feeling the lack sincerity, i decided to go for the dinner no matter what. LOL! Kind of careful while eating, im afraid i need toilet later on, avoided tea & coffee due to their diuretic effect. WE HAD OUR DINNER AT NANA THAI REST @FAR EAST. Foods there was delicious but yet is a little bit pricey. LOL! I LOST MY EZ-LINK before going to malaysia. daamnnnn~ MONEY FLY AWAY~~

Headed to meet Yvonne after dinner while waiting for ming at Chinatown, we made our way to golden mile tower! On a Thursday late night, i'm sitting outside golden mile tower with ming and yvonne waiting for our STARMART bus. 12mn at golden mile! MY FIRST TIME~! HAHHAHA! I'm ready for that 8hrs bus ride! Exciteddddd~ Toilet break was provided, something tat i've been looking forward to during the bus ride.

Reached Ipoh around 7+ in the morning! YAY! Calling our friend JJ to pick us up. He's damn cool can! W/o us calling, he is already at the bus terminal waiting for us! Having us missed our stop bcos the driver didnt tell us that Medan Gopeng bus terminal was closed and we have to tell him where we wanted him to drop us if not he will just drop us at their "selling ticket place". So our this dear friend, he have to drive behind the bus and see where the bus driver decided to drop us at. LOL! Basically, he was catching behind the bus and he was so glad that the bus driver was driving so slow that he still have the time to go to his car while he was already at gopeng bus terminal. LOL!

Clear blue sky greeted us at ipoh! =DD

Malacca day 2

Wake up the morning~
Had our breakfast in the hotel - breakfast included in package of the room. It's the buffet style breakfast. Quite a number of varieties available, i made bread for the rest and they got me scramble eggs. LOL! Their fried rice was delicious as well as the wedges. Top up of food was rather fast. Didnt have any photo of the foods - TOO HUNGRY AND CAN'T WAIT TO EAT! LOL! I think 8 diff types of bread and puffs was available. As well as cereal and milk, coffee, tea and plain water, baked beans, hotdogs, mushrooms soup, baked egg moist cake/bread? Lol! A LOT RIGHT?! AWESOME BREAKFAST!

After breakfast, took some photos in the hotel with their Nonya theme and went back up to hotel room to pack our stuff. WE ARE READY to check out! Putting our belongings at the lobby with the staff and there we go to their famous attraction which is the red house. LOL!

A VERY SUNNY DAY and while we are otw to the red house, we see the LONG Q outside the Chung Wah chicken rice stall, so we decided to join in the Q and try their famous chicken rice ball? LOL! Waited for almost an hr, we are burned under the hot sun. LOL! Ordered 1 whole chicken and was served with 5 rice ball each. Serene appreciated the rice ball very much, but YL dislike it very much. LOL!

Due to the hot weather, we decided to go back to hotel for some aircon before going back to makota parade for Serene's cosmetic. Cab there became our conclusion. LOL! We had to walk out to the red house there to catch a taxi which cost us 15rm from there to Mahkota Parade. I guess 10rm is more than enough actually! $7 SGD- DAMN! SUA! THE HOT SUN ARE MAKING US FRUSTRATED. So we agreed for that. Shop for a little while, and grabbed some foods for the later bus ride. Cab back to Sentral bus terminal and IT'S TIME TO GO BACK SINGAPORE!

Shall end my post with the BEST PHOTO OF THE TRIP!

Malacca trip with Besties! - Day 1

Been and back from Malacca ytd, it was rather a very slow pace overseas trip for us. All of us woke up very early to catch the bus at Golden Mile @ 0830hrs, we took starmart express. I read lots of reviews about them and it really sound scary! ANYWAY, IT MY FIRST TIME TAKING COACH TO OVERSEAS! But i do like the experience of taking starmart. Upon reaching Golden Mile, after collecting our tickets, bus came. However, bus took quite long to depart, not sure is it because someone was late or whatsoever, departed from golden mile only at 9+.

Bus driver was a very polite man, he gave instruction when reached custom, for like when to bring only passport down and when to bring all our belongings down. I like the bus that we took from SG to Malacca! The whole bus only have 8 passengers including 4 of us! It's like we booked the whole bus! LOL!

Reached Malacca Sentral Bus terminal at around 12+ to 1pm! Excited and hungry! LOL! Got into one of the coffeeshop and start ordering the foods - PHOTOS DOES DECEIVE! It look like they are going to serve us  pretty appetizing and big portion foods. However! This is what we got! =.=" And it taste rather meh.

Brought a sim card at the digi shop there. Cost us around $20.80RM with FREE GIFTS OF EARPIECE! Actually when we draw the lucky draw box, what i got was a shampoo and jessie got a comb. Upon seeing it, all of us burst into laughter and in fact, we like the shampoo very much bcos we didnt brought it with us. BUT WE LIKE EARPIECE MORE! THANKS DIGI STAFFS! <3

Cab to Hotel Puri @ 20RM -  I've made a reservation online and i actually thought that they will deduct it from my mastercard. However, upon reaching there, they asked if we want to to pay by cash? AND OF COS! WE WANT! 1 SGD = 2.5RM, if we were to use mastercard the exchange rate is only 2.2! NO WAY! LOL! Anyway check in time was only after 3pm so we decided to leave our belongings with them and go for our shopping at mahkota parade. We thought it VERY NEARBY, but i guess it took us around 20 to 30mins to walk there, rather far actually. LOL! Serene bought lots of cosmetics - CHEAP! LOL!

We had KFC for our teabreak, always heard others saying that KFC in MSIA is pretty awesome with the tender chicken from kampong. LOL! Ehh. I do quite like their chicken but not the skin, not as nice as Singapore's. LOL!

Walked back to hotel and check-in. Rested in hotel using their WIFI, rather slow but better than nothing? LOL! Waited till 6pm, we rushed down to the jonker street WHICH is like 2mins WALk from hotel! I LIKE!!! lots of foods there! SOOO MANY STUFFS, LIKE PALSAR MALAM. Once again, i'm hungry and craving for foods - had their popiah, not nice =(, had their oyster egg, like the taste but not crispy enough but CHEAP! ONLY 5RM! LOLOL! Had their otah - rather dry, taste alright. Had their carrot cake - rather moist as compared to Singapore's. Had lok lok for the first time- NICE, I LIKE! Wanted to try their cha sao su but didnt bought it. Dono what was i thinking back then. =((

Lok Lok and the boss

Ended the day with us in hotel playing monopoly deal with more food and hotel puri's complimentary drinks! =PP

One day trip to Msia

OFF DAY ON SUNDAY with Yvonne and Ming! A day trip to Msia started! HAHAHA! Everything was well planned on wed. Going in to JB with them and ming's bro's gf and having ming's bro as our driver. However, last min changes was unavoidable. Feelings changed between the couple, ohh well. I shldnt comment on that.

Ended up! Guess who pick us up at custom?! MING'S MUM! hahahaha! Thought of having Dim Sum at 大四喜, CLOSED =.=" Driving down to somewhere to eat this famous Kway Chap, a long waiting time, nothing special with the food though. Waste of time and money.

K session at "Da Zui ba" from 2pm to 6pm at 18RM with free flow of drinks! Short shopping at Sutera Mall and went back ming's home. Rest awhile and it's dinner time! I always love to eat dinner in JB. LOTS OF VARIETIES! I was given a choice of either seafood or coffeeshop. I chosen coffee shop because i got this strong craving of fried oyster egg and BBQ chicken wings! <3 I SWEAR I CAN EAT A LOT even infront of those strangers. HAHAHA! Ohhyea! We had our dinner with Ming's family which includes her mum, aunt, younger bro & elder bro! LOL!

Bus-ed back to SG after dinner. Jam at custom was predicted due to sunday~ But nevertheless, i reached SG at 10pm! HHAHAH! I've so much fun todayy! AND I'M LOOKING FORWARD FOR SEPT PHUKET TRIP with them! HAHHAHAHA!
